About
TheHybridForest.com is a website co-created by 3d modelers, developers and designers to showcase the agency's creative passion and best work. It was nominated for the awwwards site of the day and recieved honorable mention.
Process
The website construction was divided into two main teams. 3d Modelers teamed up with a developer to create the 360 scene using Webgl. The other team consisted of 2 front end developers who implemented the designs and copy artistrated by the designers.
We used Perforce to version control our code and keep track of our shared assets. Project management and communication was key to keeping this large collaboration on track.
Role
I was one of the developers implementing the content of the page using html, css, and javascript. I had the opportunity to create the instagram feed and google maps feature by using web apis. I worked closely with designers to create dynamic and responsive pages to accompany the webgl animations. We had to keep our code efficient and optimized as the webgl features required most of the loading and processing power.
